This campaign aims to fund the first ever space on The Citadel's campus named for one of the great pioneers of equality at The Citadel, Charles Foster, '70. The first African-American to attend The Citadel as a member of the Corps of Cadets. A classroom in the future Capers Hall that supports the Center for Diversity and Global Engagement, will be named the Charles Foster, '70, Diversity Classroom. This classroom will honor Charles Foster's legacy by serving as a place to educate future generations of cadets about the value and history of diversity at our school and in our Nation.
