us raise $200,000 this week for
The Awty Annual Fund!
A gift to The Awty Annual Fund is the first and most important gift we ask of you every year. These gifts allow us to respond as significant needs and wonderful opportunities arise throughout the year. Just a few examples of how Awty Annual Fund dollars have already made a difference this year include:
- 100% of our faculty and staff receive professional development (PD). This year's PD has focused upon safeguarding our students, project based learning, the future of AI and education, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Numerous teachers also have participated in external professional development related to phonics instruction, emerging child readers, innovation in education, design thinking, and grading for equity.
- Hundreds of new books in multiple languages have been recently purchased for the three Awty libraries, as well as digital subscriptions to The New York Times, The Washington Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
- New iPads have been purchased for the 5th grade to complete the 1:1 iPad program for the Lower School. and Promethean Smartboards were purchased for classes in the new building of the Campus Center
- Support of Financial Aid for students attending Awty
- Training equipment, uniforms and a portable sound system for Awty Athletics
- Repairs and maintenance costs for school owned instruments, contests for fees for musical programs, and costumes and sets for the musical.
The Awty Annual Fund Week runs from Sunday, November 5 until Saturday, November 11. Each day members of our community will share reasons behind their support of The Awty Annual Fund. Help us reach our annual goal of raising $1.1 million for our deserving students, faculty, and staff!

It’s the last day of Awty Annual Fund Week, and we are ending with a word from Awty Board Advancement Chair and Parent, Johanne Gatto. In just six days, the Awty community has rallied together– raising over $205,000 toward our annual goal of $1.1 million!
If you haven’t made your gift yet, there are still 15 hours left to finish strong and ignite Awty’s future!
This year, Awty has welcomed more than 175 new families to the school! Although new to Awty, they are often the first to donate!
