The Class of 2023 is proud to announce their legacy gift to The American University of Paris. The primary goal of the senior class gift is to unite the graduating class through a fundraiser (the gift), which becomes the beginning of their legacy to AUP. Composed of graduating student volunteers, the gift committee determines how to spend the money raised. The Class of 2023 committee decided to create a one-time scholarship for an incoming student. Seniors, with the support of their family and friends, can participate in the Class of 2023 gift campaign by making a gift of 10 EUR minimum.
100% of the donations to the senior class gift will go towards the scholarship, which will be named for the Class of 2023. This recipient will be informed that they received the scholarship from the Class of 2023. The Class of 2023 scholarship recipient will be featured on the AUP website with an interview and this profile will be shared with the AUP community and all class donors.
To recognize the gifts, a permanent Class of 2023 plaque honoring all donors by name will be installed on campus. Anyone can also give anonymously. Furthermore, the Class of 2023 and its total donor count and gift purpose will be added to the Senior Class Gift Plaque, which will be installed in a prominent place on campus (TBD). All Class of 2023 donors will be listed indefinitely on our dedicated senior class gift page on the AUP website (in development). Every donor will receive a special platinum cord at graduation to signal their contribution to the senior class gift.
This initiative is complimented by festivities (4, and counting with 2 more to come), which bring seniors together in celebration of their accomplishments and before graduation. The costs for these events are covered entirely by the university.

741 days ago by Michelle HwangSeniors came together for multiple rounds of Jeopardy in the AMEX. Between pints of beer and delicious food catered by our resident chef, Antonin, the competition was fierce. The winners, DD (Daily Double) received AUP merchandise gift bags.
Alumnus Elliott Burdette has generously pledged 500 EUR to the gift if we can get to thirty donors. Please consider contributing; your gift will help out other students.

On November 23rd (the day before Thanksgiving), the Senior Gift Committee and Alumni Affairs joined forces to give thanks for the senior class. Over petit déjeuner, seniors enjoyed a break from the daily grind. President Sonya Stephens was a special guest and spent time chatting with students alongside committee reps.

The Class of 2023 had a great time at the Senior Cocktail on Thursday ! To kick off their final AUP year, over 100 AUP seniors, faculty and staff raised a glass to the coming year, learned about how the class can jumpstart their transition to the alumni community, and about the fun events planned all year long.
