Help Memorialize Patrick Latsha '22
Patrick Joseph Latsha, born March 24, 1999, was a man whose kindness knew no bounds. After attending Shamokin Area High School and playing football for the Shamokin Indians, Pat enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg before ultimately transferring to Susquehanna University. A communications major, he was heavily involved with community service, radio broadcasting and campus life. Patrick was a proud brother of Phi Mu Delta and served as the fraternity's chaplain.
He would always go the extra mile to make sure people were alright, often treating each person’s problems as if they were his own. Patrick put everyone before himself and would always offer help to those in need, regardless of who they were.
Diagnosed with cancer in 2019, Patrick quickly entered remission. He was described as being too stubborn and too motivated to allow cancer to stop him. Regardless of the hardships that he faced, Pat would always wear a smile and encourage those around him to do the same. On Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, Pat suffered cardiac arrest on campus. He was surrounded by brothers and friends, and later by his family and loved ones.
At the conclusion of the 2021-22 Academic Year, Patrick's family received his diploma in communications, honoring him as a graduate. His accomplishments are innumerable, and his impact on the lives of everyone he knew will not be forgotten.
Today, we ask all brothers of Phi Mu Delta to make a gift in support of the planting of a tree and the installation of a bench on campus - which will further eternalize Pat’s memory and grow in his name for years to come.
Patrick was a brother, a mentor, and above all else, the best friend anyone could ask for. Nothing can ease the pain of his loss on his loved ones, but this is a humble beginning.

Thank you so much to everyone who has made a gift in Patrick's memory. We are absolutely blown away by your care and thoughtfulness.
Our original goal was to raise $2,500 to help support the planting of Patrick's memorial tree. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, we surpassed that goal in less than 24 hours!
Now, we'd like to set a new goal of $7,500 - which will allow us to include a bench with Patrick's tree and ultimately create a space for brothers, friends, family members, and alumni to sit and contemplate his memory.
Collectively, we know that we can hit this goal and make this space a reality. Thank you for your consideration, and thank you again to those of you who have already supported this campaign!
