1 day. 24 hours. 1,440 minutes. 86,400 seconds. Immeasurable impact.
Sometimes, all it takes for amazing things to happen is the collective force of a community coming together. That's why we are setting aside one day for the SU community to give back to Susquehanna University as OneSU.
OneSU is the day when alumni, parents, faculty, staff, neighbors and friends join together to help provide Susquehanna students with the experiences and opportunities necessary to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential. Your gift, to any area of campus, will advance Susquehanna’s mission and support our students as they become thoughtful leaders, critical thinkers and citizens of the world.
This year, more than ever, we have been so inspired by our community’s tenacity, its philanthropy and its determination to come together in support of Susquehanna students. Gifts have supported the Student Care Fund and have helped students achieve academic success at home or in-person with enhanced hybrid teaching and learning tools. They have supported scholarships and have provided remote internship and research opportunities. When it was time to return to campus last fall, our students did so with robust and comprehensive health and safety measures in place.
Support from our Susquehanna community made that all possible. Let’s continue that good work by coming together as OneSU today.
Your generosity of any amount will be combined with others to have an immediate and direct impact on Susquehanna students. And, when you help us reach our goal of 1,650 donors, you’ll unlock an additional challenge gift from the SU Alumni Board.
Thank you to everyone who came together as ONE for Susquehanna!
Your individual gifts helped us reach our goal of 1,650 donors, which unlocked $75,000 additional dollars for SU students. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. On behalf of the students who benefit from your generosity, we thank you! Together, you made a difference in their lives at SU.
As promised, to celebrate the occasion, President Jonathan Green was doused with a bucket of water by a group of enthusiastic students.
There’s still time to make a gift before midnight and it will count toward the final OneSU total. There are still individual challenges and matches to be met and your support could help them meet their goals, as well.
Thank you for being ONE with SU.
1481 days ago by Lauren RedfernThanks to a generous donation by Lisa Ryan ’78 Burke, a member of the university’s board of trustees, the first 50 students to participate, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., will win the opportunity to designate $100 to an area of campus meaningful to them.
Designations can support your academic departments, favorite SU teams, student scholarships, research or internship opportunities and more.
Additionally, the first 200 student to participate before 3 p.m. will win a special prize. All winners will be announced later this evening.

The Susquehanna University Alumni Board is challenging YOU to help us reach our goal of 1650 donors TODAY.
If we reach our goal the SU Alumni Board will make a collective gift of $75,000 to support Susquehanna students.
If you choose to give to an academic department or a varsity team after midnight, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar.
That means:
- Any gift made between $5 and $100 to an academic department will be matched dollar for dollar up to $2,500, thanks to an anonymous donor. (CHALLENGE MET)
- Likewise, all gifts between $5 and $100 made to Susquehanna's NCAA varsity teams will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000, thanks to anonymous alumni parents. (CHALLENGE MET)
This is an amazing opportunity to double your impact on your favorite academic department or Susquehanna team!
President Green and his wife, Ms. Lynn Buck, have issued a challenge for all faculty and staff.
For every faculty or staff gift of $10 or more, President Green and Ms. Buck will make an additional $25 donation to support the Student Care Fund.
Thank you for taking advantage of this matching gift, and thank you for all that you do for Susquehanna students!
The members of Susquehanna University's Alumni of Color Advisory Council challenge alumni to make a gift today of $68, in honor of Bill Lewis ’68, first Black male graduate of SU, or $73, in honor of Theresa Palmer ’73 Tracy, the first Black female graduate.
All gifts will benefit the PIER, a program which supports professional internship and employment readiness for students of color. The council has set a goal of raising $2,000.
Alumni can also give and share with their peers, to create a group gift in the respective amounts.
Please join us in honoring these two very special SU alumni.
