Adaptive Courtyard Renovation for Veterans and Their Families

Since 1991, the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH) has served as one of Long Island’s premier providers of skilled nursing services for Veterans, Spouses of Veterans and Gold Star Parents. 

This year, we will break ground on an innovative three-season recreational space for our heroes and their families. This ADA-compliant outdoor space will be used for social gatherings and therapeutic activities, allowing residents and their guests to enjoy a tranquil space outside their rooms. It will include an entertainment area equipped with seating, a kitchen, a movie screen and heating and cooling solutions to allow our veterans and families to enjoy the outdoor space throughout the year.
