Evening of Excellence

Join us to honor the tremendous achievements, leadership and service of Stockton’s Black alumni. 

This event will also recognize faculty and staff who have supported Black student success at Stockton. During the event, we will be presenting awards in four categories. Our nominees achievements serve as a powerful reminder of the excellence and resilience that define Stockton alumni.

Tickets are $75 per person and include a buffet dinner, cash bar. 

Net proceeds from this event will support the Multicultural Center at Stockton University. Attire is black-tie optional.

Awards will be presented in the following categories: 

• Ten Within 10 recognizes recent Stockton graduate for their professional achievements and/or contributions to the community-at-large. To be recognized for the “Ten Within Ten” award, an alumnus must have received an undergraduate degree from Stockton University within the last ten years.  

• The Making a Difference Awards honors alumni who have made significant contributions to their community and or career through their time, actions, talents and dedication. This award breaks into categories such as Law, Education, Social Action and many more to show that our Black alumni are truly apart of the Stockton difference by affecting change. Up to three recipients will be selected. 

• Excellence in Educating honors a faculty or staff member, past or present, who has made outstanding contributions to the Black Stockton community.  The nominee does not have to be an alum. 

• Trailblazer goes to a person who is the first Black person or among the first to hold a position where Black people have historically been excluded, or who have worked to forge new pathways for Black people.
