The 1856-Minute Challenge is BACK for 2021! Starting at 10:04 a.m. on April 7, Laurentians around the world will strive to reach 1,856 donors in 1,856 minutes.
If we reach our goal before 5:00 p.m. on April 8, we will unlock a $200,000 gift from an anonymous trustee to the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity! Plus, thanks to an anonymous Laurentian family, your gift makes DOUBLE the impact, as they are matching the first $250,000!
This year's annual donor challenge offers Laurentians the opportunity to support our students while honoring President Bill Fox ’75, who will retire on June 30 after leading his alma mater for the past 12 years. The 1856-Minute Challenge is featuring the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity, which will encompass programs that support students’ academic pursuits, close opportunity gaps, and fuel creativity. These programs include Academic Advising, Sophomore Journeys, Career Connections, the First-Year Program, Student Accessibility Services, the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), and the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program.
