Connecting people is something we do well. Together, we can do more of it by helping our students explore the power of the St. Lawrence network.
For three years, our alumni network has been named one of the best in the country by The Princeton Review. Most of our graduates say fellow Laurentians helped them get that meeting, the job they wanted, or that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This is a direct result of the St. Lawrence experience and our goal, as a community, to serve, uplift, and empower each other.
To fuel our network and continue creating transformational opportunities for more St. Lawrence students, we need every Laurentian. By giving during this 1856-Minute Challenge, you are supporting the programs and people that help our students make more connections and build the St. Lawrence network that benefits us all.
A generous Laurentian couple is so inspired by the potential of our combined giving — and the Laurentian network — they’ve put forth a $500,000 challenge:
By recruiting 150 GiveCampus Advocates, we’ll earn $50,000.
By reaching 2,019 donors, we’ll earn $150,000.
By reaching 3,033 donors, we’ll set a new Laurentian record and receive $300,000.
Take part in this 1856-Minute Challenge by making a gift between 10:04 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10 and 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Make your gift now, become a GiveCampus Advocate, and encourage the Laurentians you know to stand alongside you and every other Laurentian. Make every minute count!
Over the last two days, our community has demonstrated the power of Laurentian connections and commitment.
Highlights and achievements for the 1856-Minute Challenge include:
• Raising $398,910 from 2,584 donors
• Exceeding 2,019 donors and unlocking $150,000
• Exceeding 150 Community and GiveCampus advocates and unlocking $50,000
• The classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 were 4 out of 5 of the top classes
The generous Laurentian couple that challenged our community were so inspired that our students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends pushed well beyond the 2,019 donor goal they have decided to give an additional $170,000! In total, the 1856-Minute Challenge raised $768,910.
These results are a profound testament to the Laurentian network, already recognized as one of the very best in the nation.
Your generosity and spirit have supported the Laurentian connections that strengthen the St. Lawrence legacy. A special thank you to our Community and GiveCampus volunteer advocates as well as the generous Laurentian couple that matched our donors’ gifts.
Your support throughout the 1856-Minute Challenge confirms our passionate belief that St. Lawrence creates leaders and Laurentians for Life! Together, we made every minute count.
With gratitude and sincere thanks,

Time is running out to contribute to the Senior Class Gift. Now is the perfect opportunity to give during the 1856-Minute Challenge!
Gifts made by seniors to the 1856-Minute Challenge will be designated to the Senior Class Gift: Student Scholarships.
Every gift is welcome, no matter the dollar amount. Any student who gives a donation of $10 or more will be presented with a Scarlet and Brown honor cord to be worn during Commencement. A gift of $20.19 will include a Candle in the Wilderness pin in addition to the honor cord. These points of pride will be a celebration of your class and your continued commitment to your alma mater.

Your support during the 1856-Minute Challenge will be directed to the Senior Parent Initiative (SPI): Excellence in Teaching.
What is the SPI? It's a fundraising campaign that encourages parents to honor their students' St. Lawrence experience by making a gift towards one of the University's top priorities. SPI contributions will support the St. Lawrence Fund and provide an opportunity to celebrate Excellence in Teaching.
Why Excellence in Teaching? At St. Lawrence we pride ourselves on sense of community. As Laurentian parents you understand that the University's legacy of academic excellence is rooted in relationships with faculty, coaches, and staff that inspire passion and tenacity. These individuals have helped your senior dream - deepened their understanding and transformed their experience.
Now you can honor these relationships, celebrate the achievements of your student and recognize the mentors who helped shape their futures as confident, caring individuals with steadfast Laurentian Spirit.
How will my support of the SPI impact St. Lawrence? The combined generosity of senior parents will expand opportunities for St. Lawrence to attract and retain academic leaders and emerging faculty who will enhance the University's national reputation, encourage further innovation and discovery, and help future students realize their full potential.
Support St. Lawrence during the 1856-Minute Challenge while honoring your student and their Laurentian Mentor.
