Give Students the World!

This campaign ended on May 03, 2019, but you can still make a gift to St. Joseph's College (NY) by clicking here!

Do you want to give SJC students the world? Make it possible for SJC students to gain a “world” of experiences by contributing to the SJC Study Abroad Scholarship. With your contributions, we can reach our goal of $2,000 and help 4 students with a $500 scholarship each.  Some SJC students are at a disadvantage when they graduate because they could not afford to gain global knowledge through internships and study abroad opportunities.

While abroad, students gain language proficiency, intercultural competency, global networks, and fine-tuned professional skills. The Association of American Colleges & Universities surveyed hiring managers and and statistics showed that "Global knowledge" is one of the top 12 characteristics of employees they hire, yet it is the characteristic that hiring managers rate the lowest for recent graduates. Studying and interning abroad opens up the door to academic and professional opportunities for post-graduation.
