The St. Edward’s Men’s Club Lacrosse team plans to build off last year’s successful season in three aspects of the program: lacrosse experience, team Spring Break and creating a successful future for the program.
This year we’ve elected to travel to Corpus Christi to compete before Spring Break starts, this trip will be a chance for us to bond outside of the playing field before and after the game. Along with one large trip, the team also has road trips planned to Dallas, College Station, and San Antonio, Texas. Donations will also help cover the costs of the team’s lacrosse experience. This includes replacing the team’s outdated lacrosse goals and ensuring that players who cannot pay for their own equipment are able to have their equipment subsidized by the program. We are also planning on replacing our jerseys this year which have been in rotation for five-plus years. These donations will also help deserving players subsidize their dues, as many players struggle to pay their dues.
Along with the great things the program strives to complete this year, the burdensome expenses of league, conference, and referee dues are expenses that continue to rise. With expected fees of $7,000 this year, your donation will assist the program in allowing the program to survive in the premier club lacrosse league in the United States. Additional expenses are stipends for our experienced coaches each year. In all, a donation to the St. Edward’s Men’s Lacrosse program is a donation to a group of talented, hard-working, and determined young men.
Your donation will help us propel a promising club sports program to new heights, creating an environment where young men can grow and enjoy themselves competing at a high level
