Fringe Fest 2022

A group of Southwestern University students will be attending Fringe Fest, the largest theatre festival in the world, this summer in Edinburgh, Scotland. Created by a group of students and faculty, the group will perform G.H.O.S.T. Unit, a devised, multi-media, hybrid theatre piece for a pandemic time. 

Join G.H.O.S.T. Unit’s daring paranormal experts Charlotte, Alfonzo, and Gayev as they take their platinum level Kickstarter supporters on a live ghost hunt to a haunted mansion. Using immersive theatre techniques, this show fuses green screen technology, puppets, and ghost hunting shows together with Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard for a hybrid digital theatre experience.

Students will not only perform their own theatrical piece but be exposed to other performers from around the globe. The trip will take place August 2-14, 2022 and your gifts will support travel costs for this once-in-a-lifetime experience as Fringe Fest celebrates its 75th Anniversary!
