A little LOVE goes a long way!
Help us reach our goal of $25,000 to support Public Interest Law Grants for students this summer.
Last year, 23 well-deserved students were awarded grants and participated in full-time, summer clerkships with government agencies and nonprofit organizations that offer free or lost-cost assistance to underserved, marginalized communities.
Your donation, great or small, can help us create even more opportunities for our students.
Summer grants are crucial to students and alleviate the financial burden our students face during their academic career at Southwestern. Your support will help offset costs for student housing for the summer, food, transportation and professional attire during the clerkship.
The Public Interest Law Committee (PILC) Summer Grant program plays a key role in Southwestern's overall commitment to preparing its graduates to become passionate advocates dedicated to improving our legal system and the lives of the people they serve.
On behalf of our students at Southwestern, THANK YOU for supporting the Public Interest Law Summer Grant program.

As a grant recipient last summer, Iβm incredibly appreciative of
the skills I gained working with the Elder Law and Disability Rights Center. I was
granted the opportunity to meet a variety of clients who all had children who
needed assistance to receive more and/or better accommodations from their
childβs school district.
It felt very fulfilling to serve people from the disabled community as it is a community I identify with myself.

THANK YOU in advance for your generous support of the PILC Summer Grants Program!

Due to the generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Southwestern, Anahi was able to participate as a Summer Clerk for Kids in Need of Public Defense (KIND).
Watch Anahi's video to learn more about her experience as a summer clerk at KIND and how your gift makes a positive impact in the lives of our PILC students!
