Meet 3L Jeff Martin, one of our Southwestern students who received a summer grant to work in public interest. Like many students, he knew he wanted to study public interest law, he just didn't know what area of practice. Thanks to his summer grant he worked with the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Federal Public Defender's Office learning about eviction defense, tenants' rights, and criminal defense work. He didn't have to choose between following his dreams and finding additional jobs to cover his summer expenses.
