This campaign ended on March 31, 2017, but you can still make a gift to Smith College by clicking here!

Together, we can invest in more inclusive working, living and learning at Smith, including programming from the Office of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity. Fostering a community that celebrates various perspectives, outlooks and values helps #SmithiesLead.

A gift to the Inclusive Smith designation supports initiatives such as:

  • Awareness training & programming

discussing barriers to inclusion at Smith and sharing ideas about how to break these barriers down

  • Bridge program expansion

a pre-orientation program for first-year students of color, providing opportunities for finding mentors, friends, resources and a community—all before other students even arrive on campus.

  • Dialoguing across differences

setting aside time during the academic year to celebrate diversity, explore cultural heritage and experiences, and challenge the community to think critically about cultural pluralism.

  • A mental health taskforce

to examine and improve mental health resources on campus

Your gift of any size helps make a difference. Please give as generously as you can.

Thank you.

The Smith Fund is #poweredbysmithies

Through this campaign, you may designate your gift to one of three areas of urgent need:

1.  Inclusive Smith as detailed in the description above

2. The Emergency Fund for Women of Color: gifts to this designation help in unexpected, serious and urgent situations, or unanticipated events, requiring prompt action. Examples include treatment for an acute medical or dental condition, payment for medication, replacement of eyeglasses, and travel funds for an urgent family matter.

3.  The Smith Fund (general): gifts to this designation support the college's most urgent needs, including student financial aid, start-up costs for new initiatives, funding for the upcoming renovation of Neilson Library, and much more.
