About

Goal:

This campaign seeks to raise $1,500 for the Smith Fund by October 31, in honor of our upcoming 10th Reunion! Help us commemorate our time together by making your gift in honor of a friend who was an integral part of your Smith experience. This is a special opportunity to show your love for that specific person while supporting Smith at the same time!

How can we get to $1,500? It’s easy. Here’s just one example:

10 gifts of $20.06

6 gifts of $50

5 gifts of $100

+ 2 gifts of $250

$1,500!

Please join us in making your gift to The Smith Fund by the end of this online campaign on October 31, and help us raise important funding for Smith. Then share this page on Facebook, tag your friends and encourage them to participate!

Why this is important to us:

Smith is a special place. It opened many doors for us and put us on career and life paths that we might not have otherwise had the opportunity to pursue. It also was the catalyst for countless meaningful and lasting relationships—we’re looking forward to celebrating many of these friendships at our 10th Reunion in May! We are eager to give back and invest in the College that changed our lives.

What we’re doing about it:

About 60% of students on campus receive need-based financial aid—that means three out every five students are directly benefitting from our donations to The Smith Fund. Think financial aid doesn’t make a difference? Imagine how different your Smith experience would have been if three of your five best friends were not able to attend because they just couldn’t afford tuition.

By giving back to Smith, WE make a real difference in students’ lives. We want to show our love by asking classmates to make a gift to The Smith Fund in honor of a friend. They will receive a notification that you’ve made this gift in their honor (which will not include the gift amount.) This is a meaningful way to recognize someone special for making a difference in your life at Smith. We are the power behind The Smith Fund.

What we hope to achieve:

Smith College changes the lives of thousands of people each and every year. We want to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve received, and give back in a way that is meaningful for each of us. Our gifts recognize those incredibly special individuals who made an impact on our lives, while showing our commitment to the overall value of a Smith education at the same time.
