2023 Rally for Smith

In honor of the class of 2023 and the spirit of Rally Day, we're raising 2,023 gifts this month. Donate $5 or more to name a hat for someone (or yourself!) to be displayed in the Julia McWilliams Child '34 Center. Gifts of any size will be matched by the Board of Trustees up to $500,000.

It's a great way to honor a student, faculty member, friend, mentor or Smith staffer. Just include their name in the "In honor of" section on the giving form while making your gift.

Norma Jean Haynes AC ’23 always wanted to attend Smith, but she was eager to explore the world first. At Smith, she dove into exciting opportunities, buoyed by tremendous support from faculty and the community of Adas.

“I have been able to progress in the French language beyond my wildest dreams,” she says. 

A double major in education and French studies, Norma Jean is well positioned to achieve her goal to explore “the intersection of arts and community from as many angles as possible, as teacher, performer, student, writer and researcher.”

“To see the ways in which Smith has increased grant funding for its students in recent years makes me proud to call myself a Smithie,” she says.
