The University Library proactively supports Samford's mission by providing scholarly resources, research and information services, a welcoming environment, and collaborative alliances to promote learning and teaching.
Our goals are:
- Service - Maintain standards and practices that produce optimum levels of service to the Samford community.
- Teaching/Learning - Collaborate with the Samford community in the adoption of academic resources and technologies to support Samford's educational mission.
- Scholarship - Raise the university's research and scholarship profile by acquiring critical resources and providing specialized research support.
- Stewardship - Maintain proactive and ongoing collaborations with the Samford community to meet pedagogical and research needs. Upgrade and maintain the physical library environment to ensure the library is comfortable, safe and easy to navigate.
- Innovation - Identify the needs and possibilities for the library of the future through ongoing research and assessment to improve the user experience of information resources and spaces.
