Cumberland School of Law trains future lawyers to become life-changing advocates by helping them learn to use their distinct and diverse voices to represent their clients and serve their communities. Because of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff and students, Cumber is 4th in the nation for Trial Advocacy (U.S. News & World Report, 2024), 4th in the nation in the Trial Competition Performance Rankings overall since 2016, and 2nd in the nation in the Gavel Rankings overall since 2019.
The Advocacy and Competitions Fund helps ensure Cumberland can sustain the success of our nationally-ranked advocacy program that focuses on preparing practice-ready lawyers. Please join us in supporting our coaches, providing advocacy programming to the legal community, expanding our advocacy course offerings and hosting signature advocacy events to highlight the talent and strength of our program.
