The mission of Samford University's Department of Athletics is to equip student-athletes to earn a degree, pursue championships and grow in a Christ-centered environment.
Our student-athletes are succeeding on and off the field. In the latest NCAA Division I Graduation Success Rate report, Samford scored 98%. Twelve of Samford's teams earned perfect scores of 100%. Samford also placed 285 student-athletes across our 17 programs on the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll during the 2022-2023 season.
Our Bulldogs continue to bring in Southern Conference championships: 11 to be exact; the most recent titles for women's soccer (regular season and tournament), volleyball (tournament), football, women's indoor track and field, men's indoor track and field, men's basketball (regular season and tournament), women's outdoor track and field, men's outdoor track and field, and baseball (regular season and tournament).
