Since 1904, Saint Michaelโs College has established itself as a Catholic liberal arts institution known for the commitment to the arts and sciences, social impact, and volunteerism imbued by its Catholic Edmundite founders.
Our vision, Do Well and Do Good, encapsulates that spirit, and it is with that thoughtful intention that we have produced Forward with Purpose, a Strategic Plan to strengthen our College community over the short term, while ensuring its long-term success.
Gifts from our donors make it possible for Saint Michaelโs to support current students while planning new, innovative programming for the years to come. Please consider making a gift before June 30 so that we may continue to provide our students with the skills and experiences they need to do well and to do good.
We have bright plans for the future of Saint Michaelโs. I hope youโll join us in moving forward together!
Dear Purple Knights,
We asked for support of the June Challenge and our community stepped up. We hit our goal of 350 donors and unlocked a $100,000 match for Saint Michaelโs. Thank you! But weโre just getting started...an anonymous Trustee has committed to donating $20,000 if we can get 100 more donors before midnight! Can we count on your support to help us make the most of this generous gift?
Don't forget to check out the class leaderboard to see where your class falls in the donor rankings! The winning class gets bragging rights for a full year.

Campus is quiet in the summer, after Commencement and Reunion have concluded. I miss the liveliness of the students and alumni, but the quiet also gives me a chance to reflect on this place and what it means as an institution of higher education with our strong Catholic heritage. My Edmundite forefathers arrived here over 100 years ago, and the Society of Saint Edmund has supported this place and its mission unfailingly ever since.
That is why the Edmundites are offering an additional $50,000 matching gift to encourage alumni and friends to join us in remembering why this place is so special. This match is in addition to the $50,000 match from an anonymous donor.
Saint Michael's has the opportunity to realize $200,000, but we need your help to get there.
Please consider a gift today to help us move Forward with Purpose, strengthening our community in the short term while ensuring its long-term success.
I hope you will also join me today in a moment of quiet reflection for this wonderful place and pray for the spirit of generosity that will sustain it for decades of Vermont summers to come.Sincerely,
Rev. Brian J. Cummings, S.S.E. '86

Dear Saint Michaelโs Family,
The June Challenge is off to a great start and itโs about to get even better…
We are thrilled to announce that an anonymous donor just committed to a $50,000 match.
What does this mean?
From now until 11:59 pm on June 30, all gifts made to the Saint Michaelโs Fund up to $50,000 will be matched dollar for dollar. If you make a gift to the Saint Michaelโs Fund, it will automatically be doubled; itโs that simple.
We canโt unlock this $50,000 without your support. Double your impact by making a gift today!

Dear Saint Michaelโs family,
I write to you today with profound gratitude for the wonderful academic year that just drew to a close. In May, we celebrated commencement on the Durick Library lawn after a year spent living back on campus and in community. It rained on our parade, but no amount of rain could have dampened the spirit of the great Class of 2022! Just a few weeks ago, we also welcomed over 1,000 of our alumni to campus for an absolutely spectacular Reunion Weekend. We had perfect 72-degree weather for celebrating the great Class of '72 and so many others. The atmosphere on campus was truly exhilarating.
There are so many things for which we are thankful as we look ahead. We have initiated a Purposeful Learning program, which stems from our Strategic Plan, Forward with Purpose. This exciting new program will allow Saint Michaelโs to focus more intently on engaging and recruiting students who understand how clarity of purpose and social impact can help lead to a fulfilling and successful career and life. A new media creation studio will also open to students from all majors this fall, and we have made investments in our athletic facilities, including an outdoor lighting system on Duffy Field.
Today marks the beginning of our June Challenge. As we approach the end of the fiscal year, I ask you to consider a gift to Saint Michaelโs in order to strengthen our community, provide a wonderful experience for our current Purple Knights, and sustain Saint Michaelโs for the long term. I am so grateful for your continued commitment to our students and to the College. You are truly enabling us to send our students out into the world to fulfill the vision of Saint Michaelโs College: Do Well and Do Good.
