Saint Ignatius High School alumni, parents and friends are invited to rally together in a 24-hour day of philanthropic giving, in celebration of our Jesuit, Catholic heritage and mission.
Our patron and founder of the Jesuit order, St. Ignatius Loyola, was canonized by Pope Gregory XV on March 12, 1622. Our hope is that today on March 12th, in honor of St. Ignatius, 400 donors will show their support of our mission. For more than 130 years, Saint Ignatius High School has existed not to make students better than everyone else but rather to make students better for everyone else. Our diverse learning environment encourages critical thinking coupled with deep reflection.
All gifts received today will help support the Annual Fund campaign. This yearly fundraising initiative ensures a world-class learning environment for our young men and helps offset operating expenses so the school can provide tuition assistance to families that otherwise would not be able to afford Saint Ignatius.

Letโs see what we can accomplish together!
Saint Ignatius High School has been rooted in Cleveland since 1886. We are proud to call Cleveland our home. As a special tribute to Saint Ignatius High School, the Cleveland Terminal Tower is lit tonight in blue and gold. Donors who make a gift before 9 p.m. will receive a professional print of the tower donning Wildcat pride.
Gifts to the Annual Fund can now be designated to Athletics through the Fr. Sullivan Fund for Athletics.
Named in honor of the late Rev. William A. Sullivan, S.J. Fr. Sullivan, a famed faculty member and athletic administrator at Saint Ignatius from 1945-1969, the Sullivan Fund helps to offset the annual needs of our Athletic Department. This includes coaching stipends, travel expenses, facility costs, uniform repair, etc. Your gift will ultimately ensure that Saint Ignatius student athletes are able to grow mentally, physically and spiritually through their athletic participation.
Donors between 5 and 7 p.m. will be entered into drawings to win athletic prizes including basketball chairs from Sullivan Gym, Wildcat football jerseys and team swag. Show your Wildcat pride by making a gift during #SIHSGivingDay!

Decades after graduation, the alumni of Saint Ignatius High School are still proud to announce, โI am an Ignatius man.โ
The outpouring of alumni support has been incredible today. As a way to celebrate our Jesuit mission, the next two hours are dedicated to our Ignatius Men Forever. The first 50 donors will receive a GV Artwork exclusively designed t-shirt. Everyone who makes a gift before 5 p.m. will be entered into a drawing to win a foursome in the Thomas F. The Welsh Academy began in the 1990s as a dream of then-Saint Ignatius President Rev. Robert J. Welsh, S.J. โ54. His desire was to create a school for urban middle school boys who could be academically successful at a college-prep school like Saint Ignatius if given the right opportunities. Today, Fr. Welshโs dream has become a reality. The Welsh Academy is named in his honor and will open in August 2019.
Gifts made between noon and 3 p.m. today will place you in a raffle to win lunch at our Chef's Table with an in-person update on The Welsh Academy and an exclusive look at plans for the building.

Why do we host Giving Day on March 12?
In a recent post on Lessons from Loyola Hall, a blog written by Theology teacher Tom Healey '77, he explains what makes March 12 such a special day. Read the full post at http://bit.ly/2HgiEBW.

We are students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends dedicated to making the world a better place through academic excellence, athletic achievement, artistic expression and a commitment to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
We look back at our school's history and see the incredible procession of leaders, inventors and doers who came before. We look forward to adding to this legacy as the trailblazers of tomorrow.
St. Ignatius Loyola invites us to go, set the world on fire. We answer that call by serving where we might โ students by becoming "Men for Others," faculty, staff, parents and friends by supporting the Ignatian mission.
We take that which has formed us, and help form the world in turn. This is our purpose, and this is who we are.
Our mission is clear.
Our impact is strong.
Our name is Ignatius.
