Who remembers "The Poor Richard"?! This RBC newspaper was first published on November 7, 1961 under the leadership of first President, Colonel (Ret.) James M. Carson. He wrote, "The appearance of a college newspaper at Richard Bland is not only a welcome addition to our campus, it is a milestone in our development as a college." If he could see us now!

The Richard Bland College Players began in 1989 at the behest of second RBC President, Dr. Clarence Maze. Dr. David Majewski served as Director of Theatre for 21 years, with students and faculty performing over 70 plays in the historic Barn Theater. Many alumni now have careers in the arts and theatre, with one alumnus finding his way to Broadway! Did you perform in any of these exciting productions?

It's March Madness everywhere! Did you know students used to play basketball in the Barn Theater?! Dr. James McNeer, President Emeritus, was known for his moves on the court. We'll continue showcasing the incredible history of RBC as we embark on our Give Back to the Future campaign.

We'll be sharing throwback photos and stories throughout the campaign, stay tuned!
