The endowment will help support the cataloging and preservation of the collection, sponsor internship and research opportunities for RIC students and support cultural events related to the collection.

Rhode Island College Special Collections in the James P. Adams Library collects, preserves, provides access to, and encourages the use of its papers, books, and other materials.
In addition to supporting the educational and research missions of the College, the Special Collections also collects the papers and records of persons, families, organizations, associations, and businesses in Rhode Island, with an emphasis given to the areas of education, cultural heritage, social history, and those with a connection to Rhode Island College.
