Giving Day
24-Hours (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Giving Day is a 24-hour campaign beginning April 23rd. It is inspired by Dr. William Plumer Jacobs' decision and dream to establish a college. In 1874, Dr. Jacobs knew that time, money, and community were needed to accomplish his goal. This is true today 150 years later. Giving Day is an opportunity for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, to join together as one to ensure the future of our beloved institution.
During the 24-hour span, you can impact current and future Blue Hose by supporting them in the classroom, on the playing field, or both. Our goal for Giving Day is to raise $350,000 and attract 750 donors. There will be challenges throughout the day to help you help us achieve this attainable goal.
โI have at last set my heart on a plan, the complete fulfillment of which I desire to commemorate my twentieth anniversary at Clinton. It is nothing more nor less than the establishment of a College at Clinton. It will take a vast outlay of time and money but it can be done and, God willing, it shall be done. I have been thus explicit because I have hereby resolved to establish a college in the town of Clinton.โ
