Students4Giving is a course that gives our students the opportunity to be philanthropists to learn hands-on about nonprofits and philanthropy! Students identify local nonprofits that strive to solve social problems, have a strong impact, and demonstrate financial need and allocate class funds to those organizations.
Funds raised will be used for students to allocate funding to local nonprofit organizations following and learning the steps that foundations use as they make grants to these organizations. We are looking forward to restarting this course during the 2022-23 academic year
“Prior to this class I had volunteered but never really considered the critical impact and importance of non-profit work. Learning the scope of philanthropy, the volume of organizations and the importance and necessity of the services provided made me think twice about my long-term career goals.“ - Students4Giving Student
