PCC’s Outreach & Advocacy Project, a resource under PCC’s new division, Student Wellness and Belonging, is asking for your help to raise $2,000 for emergency financial assistance to support students seeking resources after experiencing gender-based violence (sexual violence, dating/relationship violence, stalking, and harassment). Emergency financial assistance can include the purchase of groceries, emergency hotel stays, rental assistance, utility bills, relocation costs, and anything else a student may need to increase their safety.
PCC students are resilient, and even more so when we come together as a community and offer support. Students who have experienced trauma have additional barriers to completing their educational goals including safety concerns and financial struggles related to physical, emotional, economic, and reproductive abuse; medical bills, and more.
The funds raised from Big Give Day will go directly to students to increase their safety and pay for essential needs in order to stay focused on classes and meet their educational goals.
Thanks to the generosity of City of Roses Disposal & Recycling and the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund, the first $1,000 in gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
Please support PCC’s Outreach & Advocacy Project on Big Give Day by making a gift now! Be sure to encourage your friends to do the same by sharing Big Give Day on social media using the hashtag #PCCBigGiveDay. to the end of the existing ask in the description.
