About

At Pitzer, students learn how to become engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world. Pitzer’s Career Services office helps to connect our undergraduates to employers eager to hire individuals with the knowledge, skills, and unique perspective that Pitzer students bring to the table. The Pitzer Internship Fund is one of the ways we make those connections.

Internships facilitate career exploration and develop professional skills and networks. But they often offer no pay—or next to no pay—imposing a financial burden on our students. Thanks to generous gifts from the College community, the Pitzer Internship Fund creates more equitable internship opportunities by funding unpaid or low-paid summer positions. Last year, 51 students received an average stipend of $1,765.  In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and reduced housing and transportation costs due to remote work in summer 2020, we offered standard funding of $1,000 per student unless the student was able to demonstrate need beyond this amount.

Pitzer is a place where students learn how to positively impact the world. Please make a gift to the Pitzer Internship Fund today to support our students as they apply their education to the workplace, find fields they are passionate about, and take the first steps in creating a better future for us all.
