How can you help Pitzer students facing unforeseen difficulty?

The Dean of Students Emergency Fund at Pitzer College supports students who are experiencing unexpected hardship. When emergencies arise, resources from this fund can soften the financial impact our students may face.

The number of students affected by emergencies is rising due to a variety of factors, and we want to keep supporting their needs. Pitzer Trustee and Class of 2016 Pitzer Parent Susan Kessler believes in this mission so deeply that she has offered a gift match to the Pitzer community: Susan will match each gift to the Dean of Students Emergency Fund up to a total of $25,000!

This is a fantastic way to care for the Pitzer student body in times of need, and we hope you will support our efforts with a gift to the Dean of Students Emergency Fund.

The Dean of Students Emergency Fund:

Entirely dependent upon donations, the Dean of Students Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to currently enrolled Pitzer College students who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an unexpected emergency. Emergencies may include accident, illness, death of a family member, fire damage, or natural disasters. The emergency fund will not cover tuition expenses or fees. Award amounts will vary depending on the type of emergency, the individual circumstances, campus resources available, and the actual needs of the student affected by the emergency.
