Pitzer COVID-19 Relief Fund
In this time of great uncertainty, we may not know exactly what the future holds, but we do know this: the Pitzer College community will navigate this storm by working together and caring for each other.
We are launching the Pitzer COVID-19 Relief Fund to help the College keep its commitment to our students and the faculty and staff who make a Pitzer education possible. That commitment includes:
- Protecting the financial security of our employees, both salary and hourly, by paying staff their regular wages through the semester, regardless of whether conditions allow them to work.
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for students remaining on campus.
- Enhancing technology to ensure an intellectually engaging online educational experience for students and a productive work environment for telecommuting.
- Paying both work-study and non-work-study students their expected wages for the rest of the semester.
- Reimbursing students and their families a pro-rated amount for room and board for the remainder of the semester.
While the Pitzer Student Emergency Fund provides direct financial assistance to individual students with immediate needs, the Pitzer COVID-19 Relief Fund will bolster our ability to meet these unforeseen costs without affecting our overall mission to educate engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world.
Compassion is an unofficial core value at Pitzer College. With your assistance, we’ll respond to these challenging times with empathy and flexibility, taking care of our own and the wider community. Together, we will face this new reality and emerge even stronger than before. Provida Futuri.
