The Melvin L. Oliver Racial Justice Initiative Fund
Continuing acts of racialized violence and the mobilization efforts by the Black Lives Matter movement and its allies to fight for racial justice provide an important backdrop for scholars and students to analyze this unique moment in time. In an effort to support productive discussion, analysis, and activism, the Melvin L. Oliver Racial Justice Initiative provides funds for three primary prongs: curricular transformation, co-curricular transformation, and structural transformation. Together, these are designed to deepen student, staff, and faculty knowledge and action around racialized violence.

Strive 2 Thrive
Make your gift to Strive 2 Thrive before midnight on Sunday, April 9, to help unlock a $5,000 Gift Challenge!
The Strive 2 Thrive program was created in 2019 with the generous support of Larry Raskin P’23 and Ramesh Sinaee, M.D. P’23. In response to the mental health epidemic sweeping across higher education institutions, Larry and Ramesh recognized the rising need for mental health and wellness support and challenged the Pitzer community to join them in playing an active and tangible role in making an impact. Strive 2 Thrive focuses on awareness, education, and support by engaging the Pitzer community in the ongoing conversation of self-care, wellness, stress management, and other important topics to empower students to take care of themselves in proactive, meaningful ways. The program now provides vital resources that support student wellness through several key areas:
- Infrastructure, including creating a designated wellness space
- Counseling services
- Equitable access for diverse student populations
- Programming and student engagement
Please consider supporting Strive 2 Thrive during our One Week. One Pitzer. Campaign!
The Pitzer Internship Fund
The Pitzer Internship Fund (PIF) is the result of generous gifts from Pitzer Alumni, Parents, and Friends to provide funding for unpaid or low-paid summer internships. The goal of the Pitzer Internship Fund is to support student engagement in meaningful internship experiences that facilitate career exploration and the development of professional skills and networks.
Please consider supporting The Pitzer Internship Fund during our One Week. One Pitzer. Campaign. Every gift counts!

The Pitzer Fund

The Pitzer Fund supports every student, program, field group, and professor on campus. Unrestricted gifts to the Pitzer Fund can be used for any of the College’s current priorities, providing the flexibility to respond rapidly and take advantage of unexpected opportunities.
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Pitzer education, and Pitzer’s endowment does not generate the amount needed to support the immediate needs of our students: the Pitzer Fund covers that gap.
