Pitch Exploration Lab

The Pitch Exploration Lab is a collaborative space where undergraduate and graduate students from any major can delve into music, brain, and psychology topics. Since its inception in 2018, the lab has been a hub for interdisciplinary research on music perception and cognition at Penn State.

Our lab members engage in hands-on research, participate in local programs, and aim to establish broad arts and science installations. Gifts made to the Pitch Lab on GivingTuesday will support essential activities such as data collection, travel, and general student projects.

We strive to provide valuable research experience for undergraduates, offering leadership opportunities and practical experience in research development. Whether you're from acoustics, biology, statistics, psychology, music, or another field, the Pitch Lab is a space for growth and discovery.
