Now more than ever, PLU-trained nurses are in demand. When you or a loved one needs care, you want a nurse at their best — one who will serve with compassion and skill. You want a nurse from PLU.
Because of COVID-19, National Nurses Week looks different this year from any other. Right now, PLU nurses and nursing students are doing more than they ever have, in many cases with less. They're exhausted, anxious, committed — perhaps all at once.
From May 6-12, 2020 for Nurses Week, the PLU community is coming together to thank and encourage PLU nurses and nursing students.
You can express your gratitude several ways:
- Fill in this blank: “PLU nurses are __________.” Through May 12, we’ll be sharing responses via email and on PLU Facebook pages. Let’s show our gratitude for all that PLU nurses and nursing students do and deal with, especially now.
- Thank a PLU nurse or nursing student directly. If you haven’t already, reach out to a PLU nurse or nursing student you know to thank them for their hard work and commitment.
- Make a gift — and have it doubled. Not everyone can give right now, but if you can, your gift during Nurses Week will be matched dollar for dollar. Gifts made during Nurses Week will go to the phase of PLU’s new Clinical Learning and Simulation Center, which will train the PLU nurses of tomorrow.
