Hello everyone, my name is Katie Draper, and I am a junior nursing major at Olivet Nazarene University. I’m currently gaining invaluable experience through clinical work on the Medical-Surgical floor at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Over the past two years,
I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a Resident Assistant in Oaks Hall and contributing to Manna, a ministry dedicated to providing meals for those in need. Olivet has offered me incredible opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, and I am deeply grateful for the journey so far. This summer, I’m honored to have another opportunity to expand my perspective as I join a team traveling to Tanzania, a beautiful East African country known for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Growing up in a less diverse environment, I look forward to immersing myself in a new culture, witnessing the beauty of God’s creation from a fresh perspective, and deepening my understanding of community and faith. Our team will have the privilege of sharing the good news and building meaningful relationships within the local communities.
