On behalf of Olivet Nazarene University, 2 biology students, including myself, were prayerfully chosen to travel to Papua New Guinea this summer to work in one of the largest hospitals in the country, Kudjip Nazarene Hospital! At the hospital, we will work shoulder to shoulder with medical missionaries and surgeons as we; assist in surgeries, break bread with local mission families, run rounds with the hospital’s Physicians and Chaplains, attend services at national Churches, practice suturing/ casting/ and wound care skills, have devotions with national staff, participate in off-station clinics, and SO MUCH MORE!! I truly
characterize a life of service with God and His people. The experiences I gain from this once in a lifetime opportunity will allow me to stand out when applying to PA programs since it will provide me with unique shadowing and hands-on experience. I also believe these experiences will amplify not only my Faith, but also my desire to be a healing hand of God as I care for His people as a Physician Assistant. Experiences like these often don’t come cheap and with Papua New Guinea being so far away I am asked to raise $4,000. So, I am asking anyone that feels lead to donate, no matter how big or small, please pray on it and consider helping me reach my goal in order to experience this extraordinary opportunity! If you do not feel lead to give or you are unable to, know that your prayers for a safe trip for me, my partner, and my professors will be just as appreciated! Thank you for your love, prayers, and support as I go through this exciting next chapter of my life!
Love and Blessings, Jaxon Snyder
