About

Hi!

My name is Sebastian, I am a Senior at Olivet Nazarene university. I am majoring in Pastoral Ministry and plan on doing some sort of ministry with previous or current addicts/trauma victims of any sort. I am a resident assistant at ONU and have been for the previous three years. Two of those years I worked in a freshman dorm and this year I am in one of the apartments. This has helped me grow a lot as a leader and has been an amazing opportunity.

Another amazing opportunity I find myself having is the chance I have to travel to Nicaragua through Shalom project. Shalom project does various things on campus and one of those is organizing some different ministry trips. I am stoked to go to Nicaragua and immerse myself in the culture and join Christ in the work I know He is already doing. It will be an amazing opportunity, and I am excited to help with some of the physical and spiritual needs present in Nicaragua.

Here's where you come in, I REALLY need your help!! I need some prayer warriors praying over this trip and making sure that my team goes spiritually full and ready to minister. I also need the funds to go! I ask that if any of you find yourself willing to donate that you would do so! I appreciate your support spiritually and financially and know that the Lord will be blessing these endeavors! Thank you for your support! I am excited to see the work that the Lord is doing in Nicaragua and will do through our ministry team!

Students and staff will partner with the mission organization One Collective for this ministry trip. The primary goal of One Collective short-term teams is to fuel the long-term work of meeting physical and spiritual needs in Nicaragua. To that end, we typically split a team’s time between working on projects that move our own ministries toward their goals and partnering with other local organizations and churches making an impact in Masatepe. A few other goals we have for teams are building relationships with Nicaraguans, being an encouragement to the community, and learning about healthy poverty alleviation. We also want the team to experience Nicaraguan culture, learn about poverty and healthy community development, get to know our staff, and experience how the Lord is working. Some activities that we always do include home visits, a meal in our Nicaraguan staff’s homes, attending church, and participating in our team devotional that we have every week.
