Hello! My name is Janet, and I am a sophomore at Olivet Nazarene University. I am majoring in Child Development with plans to go on to graduate school for Speech Language Pathology. Here at Olivet, I am involved with Aspire Mentoring (a ministry for local middle schoolers) as well as Kingdom Builders (physical labor ministry). I feel so blessed to be a student at ONU and have met so many amazing friends and professors here. I know my time here is shaping me and growing me in ways that will impact me for the rest of my life!
This spring, I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Kentucky and support and learn from the community in Inez. The team will partner with Appalachia Reach Out, whose mission is to be Christ's love in action. We will help with tutoring and workshops in county schools as well as serving at local addiction recovery care centers and the ARO thrift store. In order to make this mission trip possible, I will need help raising funds for it. Thank you for your support and prayers as I commit to raising these funds. If you are willing, please donate here! Thank you again for all of your support, I truly appreciate it! I can't wait to see God at work as we spend time in Kentucky!
Our team’s ministry activities at ARO might include: tutoring/workshops in county schools, ministry/worship time at several local addiction recovery care centers, assistance with ARO thrift store, campus upkeep, community improvement projects, and possibly a tour of and education about the local prison systems.
