Hello! I'm Hannah Mindak, a Junior Elementary Education Major at Olivet. I am so grateful for all that I have learned and been able to be a part of here! From being a Resident Assistant last year to working within the office of Spiritual Development this year, and all the little things in between, it has been amazing to see how He has worked in my life through Olivet.
This coming spring, I am excited for the opportunity to partner with the Shalom Project by going on a mission trip to Ecuador! I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Quito, Ecuador, and serve and learn more about the local community. Quito is the capital of Ecuador, and is 9,000 feet in elevation, more than twice the height of Denver! Quito falls on the equator line, meaning you can stand simultaneously in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere at the same time! While there, we will have the opportunity to serve the local community.
We will primarily be working with a bilingual, English-Spanish, elementary school, helping in whatever ways they need. We will also have the opportunity to partner with the skater community, a soccer school, and more! I am most excited to work with the children, as I have a passion and love for kids and hope to be able to show God's love and care for them. I would greatly appreciate it if you would pray for my team and I as we undertake this amazing mission! I am very excited for this wonderful opportunity; however, I will need help raising funds to be able to go. Thank you so much for your support and prayers!
