Hello! I'm Jordyn Anthony, a Senior at Olivet Nazarene University! I'm currently studying Dietetics with a minor in Biology. I am involved in Olivet's Travel Ministry Teams, Student Dietetic Association, and the Food Recovery Network here at Olivet. I have the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic to support and learn from the community there through the Shalom Projects of ONU.
The Dominican Republic is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea on the south. The DR is a lush tropical island with a range of high peaks to low body water. This is a great opportunity to be immersed in a culture very different from America. My team is partnering with GO Ministries to provide support to the communities within Santiago, DR. GO Ministires is a global missions organziation with a mission to empower local leaders to make disciples as God redeems people, renews communities, and restores creation through Church Planting, Community Development, Medical, and Sports initiatives.
Please pray for the local children, church members, and others we will encounter as we travel. We want to equip the people of the DR to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
