Hi! My name is Drake Hawkins, and I am a senior at Olivet Nazarene University! I'm a nursing major, and I am also on the football team at Olivet. This spring, I have an amazing opportunity to go on a ministry trip to the Dominican Republic. My team will have the great opportunity to serve the community and people we are placed in. I will be able to use the skills I have learned at Olivet's nursing program and help provide medical care to the people in the community. I am very excited to build relationships and memories with the people I encounter on this trip.
This is a very exciting trip and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I will need some help in raising the funds to go on this trip. What: Students and staff traveling to the Dominican Republic will partner with GO Ministries to provide support to the communities within Santiago, DR. GO Ministries is a global missions organization with a mission to empower local leaders to make disciples as God redeems people, renews communities and restores creation through Church Planting, Community Development, Medical, and Sports initiatives. Individuals joining this trip will be participating in construction efforts of the local community church along with working with local children and teachers in the community school system. All these efforts and activities are to strengthen the local community church as members of those churches strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus within their community.
