Support the Olin Shop Making Face Shields

This campaign ended on April 30, 2020, but you can still make a gift to Olin College of Engineering by clicking here!

The Olin Shop staff are vital partners to faculty, staff and students at Olin. They make sure students have the tools, equipment and training they need to be innovative and creative both inside and outside of the classroom.

With Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at a premium across the country, our Shop staff want to step up and help. Are you surprised? No, of course not!

So far, they have supplies to fabricate 400 face shields and have a goal of making another 2,000 face masks and other PPE for local medical providersTo reach that goal, Daniela and the whole Shop staff needs the Olin community to help raise $10,000 for two additional 3D printers and more printing material. They have a plan to produce the NIH-approved face shield developed by DtM with help from Olin adjunct faculty member Elizabeth Johansen

As Daniela puts it: “The Olin Shop is uniquely situated to produce face shields for our local hospitals to further aid.”

We have the skills, the staff, the equipment and the compassion but we need your financial support to help raise $10,000. Your support will allow the Olin Shop to fabricate another 2,000 face shields for frontline medical staff. Can we count on you?
