Thanks for supporting OWU athletics! I’m the head coach for the wrestling program here at OWU. This year, we’ve faced a lot more adversity than we are used to. It was very challenging to train and compete during this time of Covid and all the safety precautions required to have a season.
But the wrestling team has shown amazing resiliency in working towards the team and individual goals of getting better. Not once did I hear a complaint from someone in the program. We just put our heads down and got to work. Despite the shortened season, the program made tremendous strides in how we trained and competed. It showed in our competitions that even as a third-year program we have closed the gap against our competition!
The support of alumni and friends like you means a lot to us. With your help, the wrestling team can:
- Take a long trip every four years for a competition.
- Enjoy more team barbeques at Coach Reid’s house. Coach Reid feeds them well at these!
- Provide an experience and memories that the student-athletes will always remember.
