Increase the Emergency Needs Fund

So far in the 2020-21 academic year, OWU has already processed 78 special circumstance requests for financial aid compared to 82 total requests that were processed all last year. This increasing need is a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also represents the growing financial challenges that many of our students faced even before the pandemic. Additionally, OWU’s cumulative cost to safely reopen campus is approximately $1,000 per student, or about $1.5 million.
