About

Introducing the Pete Witschen Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund.

At NSU’s Facilities Management, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we're excited to introduce the Pete Witschen Memorial Endowed Scholarship in honor of an outstanding individual who dedicated his life to inspiring and empowering others.

Pete Witschen was not just an able administrator; he was an advocate for learning and a believer in the potential of every student and team member. Education was near and dear to Pete's soul. He understood that education opened doors, bridged gaps, and turned dreams into reality. With your support, you are aiding in the dreams of deserving students and fostering a cycle of positive change that will echo for generations.

To honor Pete’s legacy, we encourage you to help us establish the Pete Witschen Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarship support for undergraduate and/or graduate students enrolled in the public administration program at NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, with preference given to government employees.

Several donors have graciously boosted the efforts to raise the $25,000 threshold required by NSU to establish a new named endowed fund. If the $25,000 threshold for the new endowed fund is not met by April 30, 2024, the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship will initiate the transfer of any funds raised to another similar endowment or spendable index or will use the funds for current operations in a way that closely aligns with the donors’ original intent.
