NSU’s Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Research Center is the University’s intellectual and cultural foundation. We firmly anchor the University in the liberal arts and sciences necessary for the 21st Century workforce from undergraduate students and into graduate school. Your donations help support our students in experiential and high impact learning opportunities, cross-disciplinary education, and globally significant research and scholarship.

Dean’s Excellence Fund

Gifts made to the Dean’s Excellence Fund help support students and faculty in various aspects of their education and scholarship. This fund has been chosen by the Dean’s Office, Department of Chemistry and Physics, and the Department of Mathematics for their donations. 

Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship

This fund supports outstanding arts majors who regularly demonstrate professionalism, personal artistry, and strive to develop their potential as arts leaders. These students go above and beyond in service to the major program and Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts (DCMA). This fund has been chosen by DCMA.

The Department of Humanities and Politics Student Scholar Fund 

This fund was established by DHP faculty to support and encourage the scholarly endeavors of students enrolled in DHP undergraduate or graduate programs. The fund will provide financial support to DHP undergraduate and graduate students for professional conference presentations, academic publications, research, and other scholarly student initiatives. Students apply for funds through a written request to the Department Chair, who makes a decision in consultation with a committee of full-time DHP faculty. This award is provided in the form of partial reimbursement of expenses, at the Chair's discretion. This fund has been chosen by the Department of Humanities and Politics.

Kevin Kohler Scholarship Fund    

The Kevin Kohler Scholarship supports graduate students who are enrolled full-time and who are conducting research related to the biology, ecology, habitat, or management of the marine environment. This fund has been chosen by the Department of Marine and Environmental Studies.

Biology Student Award

The Biology Student Award Fund was created to support outstanding biology students by giving them opportunities to enhance their time at NSU with experiences outside of the classroom.

Department of Conflict Analysis Resolution Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for graduate students pursuing a degree in conflict resolution studies. It is based on 1) outstanding academic performance, 2) crisis situation of need, and/or 3) contribution to inclusive learning community building. This fund has been chosen by the Department of Conflict Resolution Studies.
