Good Vibrations for Autism

211% of $2,000 goal
This campaign ended on April 30, 2021, but you can still make a gift to Nova Southeastern University by clicking here!

In honor of World Autism Month, please join us by supporting the Baudhuin Preschool at Nova Southeastern University’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice. The Baudhuin Preschool is raising funds for specially designed vibrating sensory toys for our students, many of them in the autism spectrum.

Vibrating toys are extremely beneficial for autistic children, as the vibrations help increase relaxation of the body by stimulating nerves deep in the child’s muscles. As it is common with younger students on the spectrum, some students have a difficult time managing physical anxiety and show continuous restlessness, which may hinder their in-class experience and education. These vibrating sensory toys can help students stay calm, increase attention span, and support their cognitive growth – enabling each child to achieve their potential in the classroom.

Your donation will help the Baudhuin Preschool purchase vibrating sensory toys, which will contribute to our mission of providing a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students. Your support today will help provide “Good Vibrations” to the children at Baudhuin Preschool.
