Thank you for your support of North Central University!
About NCU Give Day 2019
Your generosity on NCU Give Day 2019 (March 21) will help us transform the Carlson Hall Corridor into an inviting space for our students. This area is one of our most used common spaces for students to gather for both homework and fellowship.
Your gift impacts student lives!
NCU Give Day was our best yet!
- We pounded our goal of 150 and came in at 273 individual donors.
- After we matched last year's dollar amount, you stepped up and we met our stretch goal, landing at $50,640 total raised.
- We planted seeds of generosity in the hearts of our students. The greatest number of individual donors per class year came from the classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022—our students right here on campus, with our freshmen seeing 23 people step up to the plate!
- Our top individual giving from alumni classes came from 1992, 1997, and 2018.
- And for those worried, alumni did come out ahead, representing 32% of the total number of donors, with students at 26%.
Student Body President Matt Vang asked me to share this message with you:
I thank you greatly for your generous donations towards our Give Day initiative! With this we are able to increase the connectivity and relationships through the updates of the Carlson Corridor. Being a Senior at North Central University (and Carlson Resident), I've had the privilege to see many updates around campus and I am pleased to be a partner of the update of Carlson this year along with you! Thanks to you, we can successfully raise NCU to be the place students desire.
We thank God for His blessings on Give Day. And we thank you for loving our students and this wonderful place we call North Central.
Trent Redmann '93, Director of Development
President Hagan sends his thanks in the video below.
This has been an incredible day of watching God move in the hearts of the NCU community to support NCU Give Day!
We're excited and proud, but one of our students has done the most eloquent job of reminding us of God's role in our own generosity. As you celebrate being part of Give Day or contemplate still joining the effort, enjoy these words from Jacob Dilger, a junior Biblical Studies major (posted on Facebook and used with his permission).

*GIVE DAY TESTIMONY*
Today in Chapel, the Lord was stirring my heart to give. Initially, Godโs number and my number were different. I was going to donate about $10 and call it good but God asked me to donate $50. He spoke to me and said that if I am obedient, He would provide for my trip to Israel.
I decided to be obedient and give $50, especially after hearing President Hagan say โWe donโt give because we are rich, but because we are blessed.โ Immediately, I felt peace because I knew that I was sowing into a legacy far beyond myself.
After chapel, I was stopped by a friend I hadnโt talked to in a while. We eventually landed on the topic of Israel and they asked how they could give. Literally not even an hour after I gave $50, the friend donated $100 to my trip!
Friends, you canโt out give God! We often are hesitant to give to our school because we feel as though our tuition justifies our selfishness. But God told me that no matter how much I pour into North-Central, it will always pour more into me. Thatโs a fact. I encourage you to sow and trust God with your finances! Generosity is Kingdom! It is GOSPEL and we are privileged to give away what is not ours to keep.
Wow.
Thanks, Jacob. Thank you, alumni. Thank you, Lord.
We are calling an audible for a stretch goal of $50,000. Will you join us?
1656 days ago by NCU Give Day TeamAs of 2 p.m. Central Daylight Time—just over halfway through the day—we exceeded the goal of 150 donors (164!) and unlocked an extra $10,000 from Cedar Valley Church! Plus the gifts tripled this morning earned the full $20,000 in matching gifts from anonymous (but very generous) donors!
In chapel we heard a message from members of your Alumni Board Executive Council and our president that was so powerful. President Scott Hagan was teaching our students, "You don't give because you're rich; you give because you're blessed." And they responded!
In fact, so far students represent 33% of our total givers, alumni represent 26% and faculty/staff represent 20%. Way to go!
We are just over $2,200 away from reaching $40,000 and exceeding last yearโs Give Day total.
Letโs keep this going, NCU!
- MAKE A GIFT.
- Visit Facebook and Instagram to join the Give Day conversation and share whatโs happening with your friends.
Donโt forget, all employee gifts of $5.00 or more will be entered into a drawing for a one-month preferred parking spot.
Thanks for your support and keep praying! Exceeding our first goal of 150 givers by midday, we canโt wait to see what God is going to do between now and the end of #NCUGiveDay 2019!

It's our annual Give Day, and this year we have the opportunity to update the Carlson corridor.
We already have $20,000 in matching funds from generous donors so let's use them up!

We're inviting NCU to join together on a single day—TODAY—to give to North Central University.
Our goal is have 150 of our alumni and friends join in this effort to help renovate the โCarlson Corridor.โ This area was last updated before most of our students were born—and it needs our help. With your support, we can make this another great campus space!
Hereโs a bonus: weโve got some matching funds to maximize the impact of every gift. Thanks to generous donors, we have $20,000 in challenge funds on the table! Our goal is to claim those funds as quickly as possible, so all gifts will be tripled until the challenge is met.
Every gift, of any size, makes a difference!
On top of that, the generous people of Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, have offered to donate $10,000 as soon as we reach our goal of 150 gifts of any size!!
Tomorrow is the kickoff of NCU Give Day. Thank you for the impact you are having on the lives of our students!
