In celebration of their 50th Reunion, the Class of 1972 created an endowed scholarship fund in recognition of the return of female students to campus in 1970 and the graduation of the first women students in 1971. The purpose of this endowed scholarship fund is to support deserving female students with financial need wo exemplify the values of New Hampton School, show the promise of academic and extra-curricular success, and exhibit the potential to become leaders, role models, lifelong learned, and active global citizens. Special considerations will be given to socially and financially disadvantaged students.
Today, we ask you to join us in supporting this fund to ensure that generations of female students will be able to continue to experience New Hampton School and all that it has to offer for deserving young women.
Please join us in supporting this significant and important new scholarship initiative. Every gift, no matter the size, matters!
"As one of the first female students enrolled at New Hampton in 1970, I have had a unique relationship with the school. Bringing women students to the school created an important balance to daily life and introduced a significant culture change to campus–a good one!
As pioneers, we had to overcome many challenges. I received a wonderful education in my two years there, was well prepared for the life experiences that followed, and made many lifelong friends. The school has been like a second home to me and I continue to visit campus regularly.
I am proud to join in the creation of this endowment and I am excited that we will be able to offer scholarship assistance for a first-class education and a unique global family experience to a deserving young woman."
