Join us in celebrating Sarah Peter's birthday by giving back together to our community.
At Moore’s annual Spirit Week and Sarah Peter Day festivities, we celebrate the act of imagining a brighter, better world through the arts, starting in classrooms and workshops, at the Career Center, during the common hour, in animation studios and at drafting tables—in short, starting at Moore.
This spring, we invite you to join us in raising funds for the One Moore Annual Fund, which allows us to respond to College-wide needs of all shapes and sizes. From student services to career development, faculty and staff innovation to scholarships, academic accessibility to campus technology, urgent financial aid and beyond, the Annual Fund does it all.
Your gift will ensure that more students receive the foundational education at Moore that they need to succeed. And this year, your gift will go even further! A group of generous Board members (including several Moore alums) has come together to show the power of collective giving with more than $50,000 total in matching dollars! 😮
All we have to do is reach 100 donors by the end of Spirit Week. Are you in?

Moore students will be celebrating on campus with flower crowns and fun activities. Show your spirit by unlocking matching gifts, becoming a giving advocate, and sharing your own flower crown selfie on social media!

#sarahpeterday

We're shouting out a huge thank you to everyone who gave or advocated for Moore last week! You raised nearly $60,000 to support our creative community in only five days, which will increase educational access, make programming and internships possible, purchase new equipment, and much, much more.
- 56% of you are Alumni
- 16% of you are current Faculty or Staff
- 13% of you are Parents, and another 13% are Friends
- 2% of you are current Students (!)
And five of you committed to providing sustained monthly support as recurring donors, for which we are so grateful.
Here's to you!

It's Friday, and that means...
Today is Sarah Peter Day! There are less than 24 hours left to give, and we're more than halfway to our goal. Gifts of ANY size count, and every act of giving gets us one step closer to a $25,000 gift on top of the incredible $25,000 you have already raised.
This campaign supports the most foundational needs of the College, through the One Moore Annual Fund:
- Student Services & Career Support
- Faculty & Staff Innovation
- Scholarships
- Academic Accessibility & Technology
- Greatest Need (Urgent, Unexpected & Emergency Funds)
Keep sharing and advocating! Together, we can do this.
Moore Parent and Board Member Leslie London is generously matching Parent gifts 2:1 and there are still matching dollars left! This match only lasts through the end of the campaign, so be sure to spread the word.
We're almost halfway to our goal of 100 donors, so not only is every Parent gift tripled, it also makes a huge difference. Together, we can get there.
PS: Parents of Young Artists Workshop (YAW) and Summer Art & Design Institute (SADI) students count!697 days ago by Laura KochmanAssistant Professor Jen Cram on teaching at Moore: "I can say with no hesitation that it is some of the most gratifying work I have ever done in my career."
What makes it so gratifying? Moore is truly making a difference. As Jen points out, there are far too few women (and fewer women of color) in Animation & Game Arts, as well as Film & Digital Cinema. Moore's undergraduate offerings are uniquely positioned to change that!
We're proud of all that Moore has accomplished, and thank you for supporting our community through the One Moore Annual Fund.
With half of the week left, we're about a quarter of the way to our goal of 100 donors. Watch Jen's video to learn more, and be sure to share the campaign with your friends and tell them what you think makes Moore special! Check out our Advocacy Toolkit for some ideas and cool images.
698 days ago by Laura KochmanIt's Day 2 of Spirit Week, and we're more than 10% of the way to our goal of 100 donors! Today, students are enjoying cupcakes, coffee and trivia all day at Jane's Corner (named for Jane Walentas '66). While they dig into their sweet treats, we're sharing a sweet letter from Leslie London, who has created a matching gift just for Parents:
Dear Moore Parents,
As a fellow Moore Parent, I'm sure you already know what a special role this school has played in the story of our children's lives. Out of all the colleges they could have chosen, there's no place quite like Moore.
My daughter Symone graduated with a degree in Fashion Design in 2019, propelling her forward into her design career. Her education was characterized by attentive faculty, small class sizes, and an exceptional cohort of talented students. After her graduation, I wanted to give back to the school that gave my family so much, so I joined Moore's Board of Managers and became highly involved at the leadership level.
No matter your specific family structure or individual level of support, I hope you agree that Moore has had a positive impact. While other parents may worry when their children decide to pursue the arts, we can confidently support our Moore students knowing that they will gain the foundation they need for a strong career. We are lucky to have such creative, passionate young people in our families, and I truly believe that our connection through Moore has made us all part of one larger family.
This week, we're bringing the Moore family together to raise money for the One Moore Annual Fund, which supports College-wide needs and initiatives of all shapes and sizes, including student health and well-being, academic success, campus life programs, financial aid, and much more. While students celebrate Spirit Week and Sarah Peter Day on campus, we're spreading the joy with a day of giving.
As a proud Moore Parent, I'm giving to this campaign and I invite you to join me—in fact, in honor of who you are and all that you do, I have pledged $5,000 to match Parent gifts through April 30.
Because together, we are One Moore. Now through April 30, share this campaign, advocate for Moore, and give joyfully to show the power of family.
Sincerely,
Leslie London
Moore Parent & Board Member

Spirit Week is here, and we're so excited to show our Moore spirit by coming together to give back. On campus today, students are celebrating community by taking care of the environment, and planting seeds for the future.
What seeds will you plant for the future? All week long, we invite you to join us in imagining a brighter, better world, starting in the classroom at Moore.
