About

MVCC is raising money for its College-Community-Connection (C3) program, which helps our students by working with local community agencies to assist students who need:

• Child and elder care services
• Healthcare services
• Counseling: On-campus and community-based services
• Free legal aid consultations
• Food assistance: On-campus food pantries, connections to
community pantries and other food assistance programs
• Emergency Assistance: Relief and recovery, and start-up help

The C3 program allows us to give students the stability they need in life so they can focus on their studies; finish their degree; and secure a good job that will provide them the long-term stability they aspire to in order to provide for their family. In three years, we’ve helped over 800 students. By donating during MVCC’s Week of Giving, you’re helping us show more students some love.

Updates
Help C3 with new challenges in 2021!

Though fewer students have been on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic, MVCC’s College-Community-Connection (C3) program served more students this fall than in Fall 2019, and in new, creative ways due to unforeseen, urgent challenges, such as:

• Expanded food insecurities, with more students seeking support to help feed their families;

• Assistance with technology, with more laptops and Wi-Fi hotspots loaned to students;

• Assistance with textbooks, lab kits, and access codes;

• Assistance with housing and paying rent, up from two students in the Fall of 2019 to 13 in the Fall 2020;

• Assistance with transportation needs; and

• Obtaining access to domestic violence resources.

We hope we can AGAIN count on your support for MVCC's Week of Giving and our C3 students.
